first class staff in all departments nothing to much trouble. rooms were also fantastic especially room with wet room suitable for disabled. would like to mention Sue the waitress she even recognised us from our last visit and is worth visiting just to meet her as she is the icing on the cake as far as service is concerned. We will be stopping again and again.
Restfull, excellent food and service. Easy access for city or sightseeing.
A small lounge area within the hotel building would be welcomed.
We stayed in the Penhow Suite, it was amazing, well worth the money . a huge room with beautiful decor and a bath to die for , double jacuzzi bath with tv & radio, we had jug of sangria sent up and it felt like we were in heaven. thoroughly recommend it . Evening meal gorgeous and breakfast for a king. you must go!
The room was extremely well appointed and decorated to a standard which was comparable to that of a boutique hotel. Excellent cooked breakfast.
Very poor sound insulation between floors - we heard every movement in the room above. Incomplete information from staff meant we missed breakfast on our second day. Also, a private party in the bar one night left us feeling like gatecrashers as there was nowhere else for residents to obtain a drink nor, other than returning to the room, for us to sit and relax for the evening. Had we been informed in advance of this, we would not have made the booking.
Comfortable well furnished room that was light and airy. Good Pub food and convenient location with ample car parking.
Below average breakfast service. The hotel rooms are in a separate block to main building.
The staff cannot do enough for you. Breakfast and lunch were fabulous. Lovely rooms and comfy king size bed. Convenient location for main roads, but not noisy. Lovely touches like flat screen tv, welsh cakes and nice bathroom smellies. Had imagined the rooms would be in an old quaint building, but the hotel is in the new build extension. However, room still felt luxurious and immaculate. Lovely outdoor bar/eating area for summer. Recommended.
Good Quality rooms with good facilities and friendly staff
Heating throughout the hotel was a little hit and miss, cold room and restaurant in the evening.
The bedrooms were very modern, the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was freshly made and the people serving in the restaurant were helpful and friendly.
The room was spacious, luxurious and the decor was very tasteful and I found my stay to be both relaxing and comfortable.
Very nice hotel with good facilities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Be aware the portions in the restaurant were very generous. The locality to the M4 is good but far enough away that there is no noise problem. We had a young baby and they were very understanding with his needs.
Excellent room with quality fittings, breakfast very good, unable to eat in the resturant owing to wedding
We were informed 8 hours prior to arrival thet the resturant would be closed due to wedding booking.I am sure that the wedding had been booked for months and that a little earlier warning would have been possible
Second visit to this hotel and I am sure that we will stay again. Made welcome by friendly staff, rooms very comfortable & good food at reasonable prices.
Nice clean hotel good location pretty setting plenty of flowers
Excellent staff good hotel
Good breakfast and dinner, friendly staff.
Location: big road on one side and motorway on the other. Room isolation was not optimal. Felt 'cold', not homely.
Hotel block had only been built 2 1/2 years ago and was immaculate. The rooms were individually designed and were beautiful. It has been a long time since we have come across such friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant and bar areas of any hotel. Congratulations to them! A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Bar area was a little small and cramped especially as weddings were taking place on both nights we were staying.
